In Slavic folklore, Rusalki are the spirits of young women who died untimely deaths and are believed to have power over human, animal and agricultural fertility.
A trio version of this piece was also performed at Velocity Dance Center's Next Fest 2019: Ritual + Rebellion. You can view that here.

Choreographers Lucie Baker and Carlye Eckert, in cahoots with set designer Chimmy Gunn and composer Michael Caterisano, explore our daily demolitions and recreations of home through the manipulation of space, sound and movement.
This production started with The Field's Emerging Artist Residency program, supported by Lambent Foundation Fund of the Tides Foundation and was furthered by CPR's rehearsal residency subsidy supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The final funding came from the Mertz Gilmore Foundation Late-Stage Production Stipend and individual donors.
