Okay, Everyone! It is about time for an update.
Here is what has been going down since the summer in depth.
Between spending time in California and Seattle I did indeed partake in a fabulous anatomy course called FAMI. I learned from amazing anatomists, surgeons, doctors and cadavers. My brain grew three sizes in that weekend alone. I highly recommend it for those with a curiosity for the body.
In the fall I traveled with Jane Comfort to perform Beauty at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and later worked on our new piece Altiplano at American Dance Institute in Maryland. I also had the wonderful opportunity to develop new work with Phantom Limb Company at the Robert Rauschenburg Estate on Captiva Island. So inspiring!
As the new year approached I had the pleasure to perform two short duets of my own. One with Dion Mucciacito at STUFFED at Judson Church and the other with Rowan Magee at Picasso Machinery. It was the cherry on top of a thrilling year. 
January has rolled into February with its usual fervor, starting with APAP shows with Jane, a trip to Tampa to show Beauty in the middle and performances of Cindy Salgado's new work in the end. This week will see the premiere of Babar, a children's show choreographed by Jane Comfort and Co.
As the final snows of the season come down I relish the beauty and anticipate the revolution of spring. 2014 has a fair wind behind it!

Dearest Dears,
 
Too often I have performances or I am working on something mind-boggling or I am reading a great book and the whirl wind of life takes hold of me and I don't tell anyone.
I want to share with you the things I love and the only way to start is to start. Here we go.2013 has been spent doing a number of notable and surprising things including:
- Learning to operate marionettes while on stilts and making new work with Phantom Limb Company
- Performing like a Barbie and a bug for Jane Comfort
- Lifting ladies for Erica Essner
- Dancing in feathers and petticoats for Jordana Toback and the Dreamland Follies (See Above Photo)
- Coordinating the activities of Tamar Rogoff Performance Projects
- Teaching dance at Bronx International High School for ASTEP
and
- Pointing my toes and moving like a lion while teaching at the Chen Dance Center

Most recently, I performed two original duets. One with the fabulous Rowan Magee at Picasso Machinery (It involved a lamp and a hula) and the other with fantastic Dion Mucciacito at STUFFED at Judson Memorial Church (It was his dance debut!). Both were great fun to make and perform. I dream of following that inspiration down a rabbit hole in the future.


The thing I am most excited to share with you!!
Since my last birthday, May 20th, 2013, I have been improvising a dance and recording it on an iPhone every day. I post these dances to YouTube. The goal is to do this for an entire year. Now that I have past the half way mark, I feel brave enough to tell you that they exist.
There are no rules to the improv, only that I must do one once a day until my next birthday and present it to the world wide audience of the internet.

A few things I have learned:
- I almost always want to dance bigger than the frame
- My shoes, outfit, the flooring and how sturdy the architecture is drastically affects my movement.
- Usually, I am camera shy. I have to force my self to face it.

My goal is to keep my creative muscles toned with out the pressure of judgement or an end goal. It is an exploration for discovery's sake. Some are interesting. Some aren't. Some are funny. Most are odd. It is my gift to you, enjoy!

I will be winging westward to spend Christmas with my family in Seattle and anticipate the New Year with a fire in my heart. It is my wish that you all stay warm and well. I send you all my love.

Since performing at the Joyce with Jane Comfort there have been many adventures. In February I performed Beauty and Underground River with Jane Comfort and Company at Swarthmore College and Washington University. If you are ever in St. Louis you must visit City Museum. It is just as exciting as going to the top of the Arch. Totally fun! March was spent rehearsing new pieces, teaching and learning to operate marionettes while on stilts with Phantom Limb Company. In April I traveled to Illinois and Arizona to perform in 69 Degrees South with them and it was a thrilling experience. May saw my 27th birthday and I had the pleasure of performing with Tiffany Mills Company at the new BAM Fisher Theater. There were many wonderful dancers involved with that process. I was also had the opportunity to perform the choreography of Jordana Toback with The Dreamland Follies. It was fun channeling my inner show girl; lots of sequins and feathers. I spent half of June rehearsing and wrapping up the teaching year and the other half soaking up the sun in California.  The rest of the summer promises to be relaxed. I am looking forward to spending time in Seattle, taking an advanced anatomy course and dreaming about my future. 

2012 ended strong despite ridiculous weather and Christmas music. Project RUIN was a screaming success. We had packed houses every night and excellent feedback from the audience. It was my crowning achievement. In the aftermath I have been working with Erica Essner and Jane Comfort and recently performed in their APAP showings. My next performances will be with Jane Comfort as a part of the Working Women showcase at the Joyce Theater. We will be showing 10 minutes of a new work in progress. See below for details.

Working Women, the spectacular one-night only concert from last summer's Gotham Dance Festival, returns to The Joyce for an expanded four-performance run that features pieces created by some of America's most intriguing and beloved female choreographers. Presented by Gotham Arts Exchange, the program features new works and audience favorites by Kate Weare (The Light Has Not The Arms to Carry Us); Camille A. Brown (solo from Mr. Tol E. Rance); Carolyn Dorfman (Keystone); Monica Bill Barnes (Luster); and a special performance of Janis Brenner's Contents May Have Shifted, performed by Holley Farmer. Also on tap--world premieres by Loni Landon, Jane Comfort, and Zoe Scofield (performed by BODYTRAFFIC).

Since my last post there have been many comings and goings. I performed an excerpt of Jane Comfort's Beauty at the Joyce and at Steel Stacks in June while squeezing in a trip to San Deigo and Seattle. In July I performed with Erica Essner on the lovely Inside/Out stage at Jacob's Pillow. Half of August was spent in Croatia and half gearing up for the premiere of Project RUIN which is quickly approaching. Most recently I performed with both Jane and Erica in the same night at Joe's Pub as a part of DanceNOW on September 7th.
